About Us

We are a family run business based in the beautiful countryside of North Wales U.K. We concentrate on supplying consumables and accessories for the orchestral strings family of musical instruments: violin, viola, cello and double bass. In addition, we also supply the components and tools integral to the making and maintenance of these instruments. Chris manages the day-to-day operations of the business such as: contact with customers and suppliers; deliveries and order processing; parts assembly and product innovation. Whilst Joanne's expertise lies more in admin, accounting, final product preparation and as our equipment technician. We have a passion for music (especially the violin) with Chris having many years of experience in playing violin and also having attended a course in violin making.  Whilst Joanne has been studying the instrument in more recent years. We also have graduate level (BSc) qualifications in Business Studies (Joanne) and post-graduate level (MA) in Environmental Policy (Chris). We aim for fast dispatch and high customer satisfaction. If you order by 2.30 pm Mon-Fri, we aim to send your goods the same day via first class mail which means U.K. buyers may receive their order as early as the following morning. All orders of 5 items or more, from any products in the store will qualify for free delivery, both for national and international. So whether you are a player requiring spare parts, a professional luthier making or repairing stringed instruments, or if you are making an instrument as a home hobby, we can supply the products you require.

As a company we take our environmental responsibility seriously. Amongst other things this includes: re-using and recycling all packaging materials; using recycled paper and storage containers; using electricity only from 100% renewable sources and heating from biomass fuel; ethically sourcing products and helping to fund tree planting projects through two charitable organisations working in Africa.  We also aim to make a positive societal impact through our yearly sponsorship programme. In the past this has included: supplying free products to a charity teaching violin to disadvantaged children in India, the purchasing of musical instruments and accessories for a further organisation based in the Philippines, as well as UK based educational projects.

Thank you for your custom.
